A Virus
It is almost one week since the start of our version of lockdown and four weeks since I returned from the New York City area.
So much of my world, your world, our world, has changed since.
It has been months since I wrote in this space. That is partly because I read too much ‘advice’ about what to write and how to write and what the so-called audience wants to hear. And in my efforts to impress and remain ‘professional’, I let my real voice be subsumed by hesitation. For what? Events of recent weeks are redefining what matters.
More later. For now, I have to make the umpteenth meal for the kids, whose every meal is now at home.
